About The Endoscopic Course

The Brighton Endoscopic Lacrimal and Orbital and Periocular Flaps Course is a surgical training course for senior oculoplastic and ENT surgeons (senior registrar, fellow, consultant) with intensive training in endoscopic DCR surgery, endoscopic medial wall access and decompression and a range of periocular and facial reconstructive techniques and flaps.

Endoscopic course

2 day endoscopic lacrimal and orbital course: £1100 if booked by 31st July 2023, £1200 after 31st July

Periocular course

1 day periocular and facial flaps course: £300 with endoscopic course or £400 on its own.

Endoscopic Lacrimal and Orbital Course (Days 1 and 2)

Full day of surgery

One day of intensive, supervised surgery covering a wide range of reconstructive surgical procedures including Hughes / Cutler Beard / Tenzel / McGregor / paramedian / cheek rotation / rhomboid / propeller flaps, auricular cartilage harvest and exenteration

Hands-on procedure

Two delegates per cadaveric head (one side of the face/delegate allowing all delegates to undertake all procedure).

Interactive lectures & more

Short, interactive lectures on flap and reconstructive principles and techniques given by a world renowned oculoplastic, plastic and maxillofacial surgery faculty.

Periocular and Facial Flaps Course (Day 3)

Hands-on, guided surgerey

Two days of intensive, supervised surgery including endoscopic DCR, Lester Jones tube insertion, endoscopic medial orbital wall decompression and nasolacrimal stenting.

Interactive lectures

Short, interactive lectures on areas including anatomy, surgical tips, managing complications and imaging given by the world renowned oculoplastic and ENT faculty.

Plus much more...

Including a demonstration of Stealth Image Guidance and other aids to endoscopic surgery.

Thank you so much for organising such an excellent course with great faculty, teaching and equipment. I learnt a lot being able to practice the various surgical techniques on cadavers. I feel more confident at performing endoscopic surgery and look forward to putting what I have learnt into practice.
